Andreaja and Hervé are from France and Switzerland. From the first encounter with this lovely international couple, I was able to perceive a grain of magic that was going to enhance their wedding. For their wedding, Andreaja and Hervé wanted sun and a Mediterranean atmosphere. It is naturally in Provence in the Var region that they chose to get married.
A wedding in Provence at the Château du Galoupet
The Galoupet Estate spreads its gorgeous vineyards as far as the eye can see, on the village of La Londe-les-Maures close to Toulon. Facing the Mediterranean Sea and surrounded by vines, it is a spectacular dwelling that will host the secular ceremony. The infinity edge pool offers an inspiring view on the vineyard and the hills of Provence. The flower arrangement by L’Art qui Pousse brings a touch of warm colors, perfectly matching the blue sky of the day and the deep green of the pleasant surroundings. The sun sometimes plays hide-and-seek behind the clouds and offers a soft and muted light. It is the perfect light to immortalize this wedding day. Some guests have already arrived this morning, enjoying a generous breakfast on the patio. Inside, majestic pearly white stairs take us to the entrance of the estate. A traditional grand piano let us dream of unique moments. The bride and bridesmaid’s bouquets overlook the room from their vases, patiently waiting for their demoiselle.
Exciting wedding clothing
I am now heading to Andreaja’s room. She’s got sparkles in her eyes while she docilely lets the professionals hands take care of her hairstyle and makeup. Her bridesmaids help her getting dressed with her beautiful wedding dress. It is the best time for me to capture the stars shining in Andreaja’s eyes. As well as the refined details of the wedding cards, the bride’s jewelry and bouquet, and the rings. You can feel the emotion in the room. The brides and her friends are so happy and excited. I offer Andreaja to shoot her from the back in order to have a souvenir of her natural hairstyle, backless. The time stopped for a minute as she looked at the result with tears in her eyes. An unforgettable moment.
I am then heading to Hervé’s room. He is obviously more nervous but just as overwhelmed as his fiancée by this happy day. We take the time to immortalize his dressing: suit, cufflinks, suspenders,… We laugh together in a joyful and relaxed atmosphere.
A unique wedding ceremony facing the vineyard
Guests have arrived, there are many of them. Musicians tune their instruments. One after the other, Hervé and Andreaja finally arrive under thunderous applause, radiating happiness. As he sees the bride, Hervé cannot hold back a few tears. They look at each other deeply in the eyes for a long suspended minute. Guests shiver. The ceremony may now start. It is followed by an amazing dove’s release and nice refreshments. Relaxed and smiling guests then head to the reception room to enjoy a cocktail.
The sunlight slowly disappear to let the night arrive. The estate and its surrounding vines reveal their magnetic beauty under the sunset light. I shoot the newlyweds alone in the vineyard. The accomplice couple cannot stop laughing.
In the distance we can hear the first notes played by the music band Inception Groove. Candles flames are burning all around the steps in the garden. Roses petals that were thrown to the ground now seem to languorously dance. Guests are taking place around the tables dressed by the caterer, Carthier Traiteur, and the night is filled with laughter and warm exchanges. As the ball opens, by the stars in the eyes of the couple you can tell it will last until sunrise.
